Major redevelopment of an historic site.
Poke House has appointed Iconic Project Management to manage their construction of a new restaurant in the historic Battersea Power Station, one of London’s most iconic landmarks.
This former coal-fired power station was decommissioned in 1975 and remained empty until 2014. By this time, the Grade II listed building had fallen into near ruin. A large-scale and complex construction project is redeveloping the whole 42-acre neighbourhood.
Phase 1, Circus West Village, was completed in 2017 and is now a thriving community of more than 1,800 residents. The new Zone 1 Northern Line Extension already connects the Power Station to the whole of London.
The Power Station itself is being restored to include one of London’s largest retail destinations, with plenty of bars, restaurants, shops, entertainment and leisure venues being built. Apple will have a new campus in 500,000 sq ft of office space and, at the very top of the building, there will be 243 flats. The Power Station is set to open its doors to visitors from September 2022.
Incidentally, this new Apple campus is being fitted out by one of our favourite main contractors to work for, ISG. We help them out by handling the minor works programme for one of their clients, a major high street retail bank. This allows their team to focus on their priority activity of completing larger and more complex projects.
A new Poke House restaurant at Battersea Power Station.
We’re really pleased for our client Poke House that they will have a new restaurant in the awe-inspiring Power Station. We are even more pleased that they appointed us as project managers for their construction. We love the distinctive style of Poke House’s restaurants and it’s really satisfying to be able to help them establish their brand across the UK. Here is some more about the Poke House restaurant fit out programme.
The main construction phase inside the Power Station building is progressing well. It won’t be long until the retail units are ready to be fitted out.

Poke House will be in good company when the Power Station opens its doors to the public in September 2022. BPS have just announced all the brands that are building restaurants there. They include: Le Bab, Where the Pancakes Are, Clean Kitchen Club, Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar, Paris Baguette, Joe & The Juice and Starbucks®. Visitors to Battersea Power Station will not be going hungry!
