A successful office refurbishment project: a case study with Carbon Clear

Updated: Jan 31

Newly refurbished interior of Carbon Clear's London office.

Total office refurbishment.

Our client, Carbon Clear, wanted a complete refurbishment of their office space. Planned improvements included the creation of new meeting rooms and breakout space, refurbishment of the toilets and kitchenette and a cosmetic upgrade to their office area (carpets, decorations, etc).

Contract administration.

Iconic Project Management was appointed as the contract administrator. Our job was to make sure that the contractor discharged their duties, undertaking the project in accordance with the contract and programme.

Project management to minimise disruption.

The Carbon Clear team chose to vacate their office while the work was ongoing, allowing for an accelerated programme and minimising disruption to their business activities. At the same time that the refurbishment was happening, the landlord was carrying out an upgrade to the M&E systems. Our project manager had to coordinate our works to ensure we didn’t conflict with those of the landlord.

By careful coordination and cooperation, we were able to avoid conflict on this potentially frustrating project. This meant we were able to deliver on time, on budget, and to our client’s satisfaction.
